Plaster

Plaster has been used in interiors for centuries, valued for its depth, texture, and enduring beauty. Today, it remains one of the most versatile materials, ranging from super smooth to rustic, polished to matte. It can serve as a foundation for raised patterns and sculptural textures, or as a refined canvas for specialty murals. With virtually limitless finishes and applications, plaster offers a timeless way to add depth, character, and artistry to any space.

grasscloth textured metallic plaster with hand-cut stencil and painted contemporary chinoiserie design · Residence · West Los Angeles

The client loved silk grasscloth but not the seams of wallpaper, so we designed a hand textured application that gives the same look and feel with no seams. Additionally, a stencil was hand cut for the entry, and a modern take on chinoiserie was hand painted in the dining room. All colors were custom mixed for the project.
